It is our great pleasure to invite you to Climamed 2013, the leading international scientific and engineering congress in the field of HVAC-R(Heating, Ventilating Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) that will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, on 3 – 4 October 2013.

Heating and air conditioning are at the center of energy consumption in our world today. As the living standards improve and the demand for comfort increases, air conditioning is becoming indispensable. The need to find a sustainable solution for growing energy use has become ever more important. Achieving sustainable energy consumption is one of the major goals of developed societies around the world. Likewise, research on “Net-Zero Energy Buildings” has become increasingly popular and highly supported by many governments.

Since Climatization is vital for the Mediterranean countries, regional HVAC-R associations organize a biannual Climatization congress to discuss current issues. Hosted by TTMD of Turkey, with co-organizers AICARR of Italy, AICVF of France, APIRAC of Portugal and ATECYR of Spain, The 7th CLIMAMED Mediterranean Congress of Climatization will address “Net-Zero Energy Buildings” as its main theme. The Congress has so far received 151 abstracts from 21 countries.

In addition to inviting world renowned speakers at the Congress, we organized a panel titled “nZEB Approaches in Mediterranean Countries” where experts from five different countries will share and decipher research expertise to broaden the scope of discussions.

Endorsed by ASHRAE and REHVA organizations, Climamed 2013 will be productive forum, where engineers, architects, designers, and manufacturers alike can share information and expertise.

On behalf of the organizing Committee, We warmly invite you to join in Istanbul for the Climamed 2013. The legendary capital of the Byzantine, Roman, and Ottoman Empires and the only city to connect two continents, Istanbul is among the world’s largest cosmopolitan centers. A beautiful city with a mild Mediterranean climate, Istanbul will provide the ideal backdrop for the CLIMAMED attendees.
